My opinion as a Christian who reads, Study and has thought a lot about what the Bible says, is... Even though Hollywood always seems to twist the scriptures around, I have to admit this was a very interesting take on the New Testament scriptures concerning the resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth. Overall I enjoyed the movie and the casting was perfect. Great visuals and just enough humor to keep the movie from being boring to non-believers. This was better than "The Passion of the Christ"(2004)

I thought the movie stuck pretty close to biblical accounts except for the main character. The acting was awesome. The violence wasn't overdone.

It's an interesting perspective from a Roman side of how he viewed and experienced Jesus crucifixion and the aftermath of His Ascension. Although the way how Jesus was crucified was always a controversial issue and the lengthy time He spent on Earth before He is ascended. This is a feel good movie that remind people that once a year we have to look at our faith and where we stand before God. How it was brought to us through pain and sacrifice.
