a unique sci-fi teen angst romance! enjoyed the concept and execution and the roles were well acted.

The movie should shorten Gary Oldman's speech in the beginning and the many boring scenes with getting so close to catching Tulsa and Gardener should maybe be replaced with a short montage of baby growing up on mars into teenage Gardener. Better intro to Tulsa needed as there is no understanding of how long Gardener and Tulsa have chatted online. Some popular pop songs take you out of movie and doesn't fit movie. The movie is well lit and shot. The story's twist is not that exciting.Tulsa's "get out" scene was a bit over acted. However Britt Roberson brings life to the screen effortlessly, she doesn't need to try as hard to be interesting. It's hard to like this movie as a whole. Some scenes are entertaining, but there is not enough personal time/ character development with Tulsa and Gardener to care when bigger things happen. Asa Butterfield and Britt Robinson's ackward comedic scenes were a treat! The love story should be more of the focus of the film.

Completely far-fetched of a concept for a film... the Martian teenage boy seemed undermined by the teenage girl who could steal 3 vehicles and pilot a plane with no expertise whilst escaping the authorities with ease. Very cliché script. Great scenic display.
