A tale of betrayal and revenge. A dark imperfect love story ending in the most surprising betrayal. A cross between Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and Basic Instinct. The cast was excellent and the revelations were well timed. Harsh look at taboo subject that still happens today.

Engrossing film, well made, with a cleverly structured script that keeps you watching.\r\rThe performances by all cast members are great and Carey Mulligan is astonishing.\r\rA very confident film, well directed, with some surprising twists.\r\rIt plays with revenge thriller genre, but cats a critical eye on some very uncomfortable and current issues.\r\rThe characters are great, and the script is funny, drawing you into Cassie's story.\r\rLoved it.

I enjoyed it as a dark comedy. Some scenes were difficult to watch but unlike other films, Promising Young Woman, always took the subject matter seriously. I appreciated the female perspective on this subject. The production values were all good and the acting was excellent.

Loved the cast. Loved the music and costumes/makeup.\rDragged just a bit mid movie as it transitioned through the revenge/relationship/revenge.\rWould watch again. Liked the twist ending.\r
