A beautifully told story. Every aspect of this film is thoughtfully presented to viewers and is an important element of the narrative, the sounds, colors, characters, when subtitles are and are not used, etc.\rThe film follows Ruben, a musician living a nomadic (gypsy in the words of Lou, his girlfriend) existence. One evening he has a profound loss of hearing that he is desperate to resolve or ignore. We watch as Ruben starts to confront his identity, his addictions, what it means for him to belong, and what it means to live in the landscape of our choices.
