Once "apawn" a time, there was a movie that did not sacrifice authenticity to firecracker glamour and pacing. The acting was crafted, not crafty -- reflecting the intensity and strategy of a high stakes chess game. I was impressed by Maguire's acting. It was times two squared, over what I have seen from him previously, which was already pretty darn good. My rating would actually be closer to 85%.
