Written by Mindy Kaling, starring Mindy Kaling, hero of the movie.....YES. Anyone this talented should have the opportunity to set herself up as the woman who deserves credit for being terrific. Mindy has delivered a thoroughly entertaining movie that has drama, sadness, humor, engaging characters. Well paced and well balanced, another example of Ms. Kaling's considerable abilities.

I enjoyed every second. Great moments that made me laugh out loud!! I'd see it again!!

Slightly reminiscent of The Devil Wears Prada where the leading character has a Cruella De'Vil persona. Comedies, to me, are either a hit or miss and as such are typically not my first choice when it comes to selecting a movie. This one, however, was a HUGE hit! The comedy began right from the start and continued throughout. The thing I found genius about this film was how the writer played so eloquently with so many relevant topics: racial inequality, diversity, women in the workplace, sexism, politics...and was still able to highlight their importance and still keep the audience laughing.

I really enjoyed the writing. The casting. It wasn't just another fluffy romantic comedy. It had heart.
