This movie was confusing in a sense that explanation was not given that Henry VIII the father of Queen Elizabeth was the son of Tudor's whom have taken over the throne from Stuart (the grandfather of Mary). Otherwise, the over all drama was interesting and the decor along with custom seem true to the era of that time.

I enjoyed the depiction of the era. Showed Mary as strong willed women with single minded determination. Relationship with Elizabeth was hard to determine although they do elude to Elizabeth's admiration for some of Mary's stronger traits while also pointing out how these same traits led to her ultimate demise.I would recommend this film as very entertaining and informative.

Saorsie Ronan and Margot Robbie were incredible and definitely carried the film. I wish there had been a little more at the end about her supposed plot to take down Elizabeth and instead of just skipping to the execution and having a sentence after the film about what happened. But otherwise I really enjoyed it and have already told my friends to go see it!

Loved the focus on Mary Stuart and her reign after she returned from France. The actors gave an excellent performance although it did not focus on a lot of the brutality of the time - a bit more slow moving for this period piece.
