I thought Robin Wright did a great job. The movies was pretty intense, but well done and I liked it.

Well-acted and beautifully shot. A poignant story about loss and the different ways that people deal with it. Having had personal grief myself, I totally understood her statement that everyone wants you to get on with life. The film vividly depicts the quiet solitude in living with one’s memories and how comforting that can be.\r\rSome of the plot lines didn’t make sense. Why was she going to the outhouse in the snow? Why was she lying on the stone floor while recovering? Couldn’t they drag the mattress over near the fire? \r

What a deep moving film! So quiet but communicated to my soul. Characters created real empathy with the audience. Great job to Robin Wright in her director debut film!
