Bad Ending but the rest of it was pretty good.

The movie was relatable with the background of the Asian family mentality but what was the storyline truly about here. Boogie proves he can play basketball yet he still ends up having to go to China vs. taking the scholarship in America because he signed a contract?

Couldn’t make it through the movie. Bad acting, unrealistic casting, and cheesy dialogue. Appreciate the opportunity to screen, however!

I am sure that there would be some who would like Boogie, but it was not one that I, a 64 year old white woman, enjoyed. I am not a fan of profanity, for example. And it did not even have the benefit of a happy ending, such as the coerced contact being cancelled. I do not even like the nickname Boogie. And Monk and Boogie did not even look tall enough to be star basketball players. And the viewing did not even allow me to pause or rewind a bit. Why not?
