It was great

Five stars for set, acting and visual enjoyment but three stars for plot and two for deceptive advertising by promoters. I had not read the book or watched the latest trailers (which will ruin any romance relief from the oppression) but it is more a revenge movie than anything else and to raise expectations otherwise will disappoint audiences. The movie's message is muddled and Kate Winslet is about ten years too old to have had Liam as her age counterpart. All said, despite some savagery in spirit and action, the clothing and the leads deserve a big screen viewing but not as a romance.

Great. Not so noir that it's painful to watch. It was delightful to watch
