Cate Blanchett's acting was phenomenal, as usual. But the movie felt a bit long. Would still recommend though!

Fantastic acting for Cate Blanchet. Story line was dull and hard to follow.

Beautiful acting, cinematography, and story concept. Nearly every element was perfect. But it lacked actual music for a movie centering orchestra and the story beats/pacing were terrible. The movie starts making you feel like it’s going to be the best thing you ever watched only for it to have an awful ending. Several plot holes. Like a rollercoaster that only goes up and never comes down. If you like character studies more than narratives, this is the film for you.

Thought TAR started off very slow and did not need to be so long. It was hard to understand sometimes, but towards the end, it became a bit clearer of what the character in the film was like and her life.
