Very Powerful and informative film.

The story was very moving, yet heart wrenching. The acting was excellent, particularly the lead actress. The Cinematography was wonderful as was the set design and costume design. I felt the body looked fake and that took me out of the experience a little. I feel if you’re going to show the body up close and be that graphic, then it needs to be so good, as to cause the reaction you are seeking. That part ruined it a bit for me because it didn’t look authentic enough. However, this was my only qualm and why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. Other than that, it was an excellent film.

The movie was a good depiction of this horrible part of USA history; however, it is a story that has recently been told in the women of the movement television series and I'm not sure a lot of people will be interested in going to a theather to see this version. The acting was great and the updated info on the recently enacted anti-lynching law was a major highlight.

A powerful film everyone should see.
