Black and blue is a formulaic movie with a questionable plot. I enjoyed the New Orleans backdrop and the main actor put in a decent performance. However, the premise of the movie requires a suspension of disbelief that was too intense for my tastes. Why wouldn't she have immediately called the news media to share her story? As a simple police-based thriller, it might be suitable for those looking for a fast-food movie night.
