Very interesting perspective on the situation. Skillful use of comedy to avoid the film feeling heavily at all times. Tom Felton's acting was fantastic, as was Joseph Fiennes. Cinematography was great--especially liked the action sequences. Overall, quality film.

Appreciated the integrity in remaining close to the Biblical account without any glaring errors. Well done on costuming, location, and showing the beauty, brutality, and bleakness of the time period. Most characters/actors well done and chosen (Clavius, Peter, Yeshua, & Joseph of Arimathea), while others didn't seem to fit their Biblical & historical accounts well (Pilate & Mary Magdelene). Good starting point for discussing the Gospel, and portraying Christ's sacrifice for us.

An excellent film which tells the story of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus from the perspective of a Roman Military Tribune. While there are some disturbing scenes of violence, the film works well as a document of the troubled times. Miracles shown without showy, elaborate special effects add to the sense of wonder. The action, direction and production values are far above what one usually sees in this sort of film.

Although it wasn't completely biblical, It still was a movie that I would recommend to others.
