Uplifting and inspirational story capturing the joy and lifeblood of a community. I'm very familiar with the original musical, so the updates and adaptations for the film took a moment to adjust to. However, it's beautifully filmed, well-sung, and the updated story lines - with the hint of the fantasy that make musicals come alive was all there.

It was beautifully put together! The movie felt like the Broadway musical with just a touch of cinema magic. The cast created a sense of community that drew the audience in and made us feel like a part of Washington Heights.
