Surprisingly, a reasonably realistic end of the world action movie. I liked that it followed the journey of a family trying to find each other and get to safety. The narrow lens of the movie increases the tension and pace compared to other movies that are keen on following the leaders trying to avert disaster or the more worldwide implications of a cataclysmic event. Though, the random farm truck full of strangers driving to Canada without any supplies stretches the imagination.

Good acting from the leads. Liked seeing Scott Glen on the big screen again. A little slow in the middle but overall four out of five. Good effects and sound design too.

Good story. Reminds me of the movie 2012...but with less action. As in I liked 2012 more....but this was still good.

The beginning dragged on, but it picked up. Very action packed, stayed on the edge of my seat. I liked how the Hispanic people were portrayed as the most helpful in the time of chaos.
