Very very good.

It was a fun movie that had a lot of elements from the book; it didn't follow the book very well, but it had the same feel and was a lot of fun. The effects were really good too.

If you're a fan of the book, hold on to you socks because this is a whole mother ride. The film shares very little with its book counterpart besides base plot and characters, most everything else is tossed at the wayside to make way for what will create good cinema, which can be jarring if you're expecting a word for word take on the book. It works well and in some ways better for the big screen!

I enjoyed it. It was decent movie if you read the book. It was a better movie if you hadn't read the book.
