I felt like an audience member of the original Carnegie hall show. The movie had some funny moments, but it was otherwise sad and painful to watch. Everything was drawn out to long. If there was maybe another side plot maybe it would have been more interesting. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend this movie to anyone else.

Interesting story, but movie dragged a bit. Movie left a lot of questions unanswered about her life . Why DID she carry that briefcase around all the time. WHY was she scared of knives? Why did her husband have his own apartment if her house was so huge? Acting was good.

Flap of the movie. Cheesy. With no character development whatsoever. Presence of Meryl Strip and Hugh Grant didn't save the production. Xavier Giannoli made a much better film Marguerite (2015), inspired by the same story (life of Florence Foster Jenkins), with the action moved to Paris of 1920's.
