Unique movie, perfectly casted for the roles and purpose of the film, and overall enjoyable although intense experience,.

Takes up a subject we desperately need to talk about. Glad a director decided to engage with the fallout of GBV as a topic.

I liked the film but it was a different viewing experience from what I expected from the marketing trailer. It turned out better in some regards, but it also feels like choices were made to soften our opinion of Cassie "normalize her" by giving us the love interest. Overall it felt a bit uneven in tone. I suspect it's the kind of movie I'd like to see a second time to fully appreciate all the nuances.

I have mixed feelings on the ending right now, but I feel it will grow on me on a rewatch—outstanding performances from Carey Mulligan and Bo Burnham. I would love to see her recognized at the Oscars. It's interesting to see a movie about rape culture in such an immediate and direct way. It's a challenging watch with a challenging theme, yet it was always able to keep my eyes glued onto the screen, especially the third act. The set design was eye-popping with it's pink candy-coated colors. Overall, yeah, I really liked it. I'm looking forward to seeing what Emerald Fennell does next.
