This movie was the best war film I have seen since Saving Private Ryan. The film was well acted, masterfully directed, and powerfully photographed. Hacksaw Ridge was inspiring in its courageous portrayal of Desmond Doss's idealism and conviction in the face of unspeakable horrors.
