The age old story of love, betrayal and avenging wrongs. This film captured all of this and more with twists and turns not expected. The scenery is spectacular and ALL of the actors were perfectly cast and this ensemble made the movie. Conquer your fate and see this on in the theater.

It was absolutely brilliant. Epic in scale and a great representation of Norse mythology. It had so many nods to interesting beliefs that never rarely come up in pop culture. \r\rThe acting was impeccable for the most part. The writing was tight and epic, but with touches of comedy that never felt forced. \r\rEggers' directing was top notch as always with beautiful long takes and interspersed with incredible visuals. The fight choreography and directing was also incredible. \r\rHighly recommend.

my only problem with that screening was the projector was off and so there were times when the subtitles were not on the screen or the picture looked off because you couldn't see the bottom of the screen.

My husband and I loved the snow Vikings and hoped that The Northman would be just as good. It did NOT disappoint!! I love that it also provided humor as well as gore. Would totally recommend to others.
