It had plenty of action, was a good movie to watch and the movie was about cops-gone-bad being told from the perspective of African Americans. The 3 star rating is due to the lack of a great leading actress in this movie. The actress held her own, but I felt no connection to her whatsoever, and she did not sell the role to it's full potential. However Tyrese Gibson was very believable and did a good job in his role.

I enjoyed the idea of this movie, that it targets corrupt cops because this is a very real thing that exists today. But, at the same time I think the involvement to some extent of a certain factor of racism thrown in was unpleasant.

Overall this was a decent movie. There were a lot of unexpected surprise twists and scenes where it made you want to jump out of your seat. On the other hand, the production value was a little lacking. For instance, the scene where Darius and his crew are arriving to the empty warehouse while the officers are talking to the captain. It is raining in the scene but the actors are not getting wet. Their faces and clothing are still dry. Other than that and a few other instances, it was an OK movie.

I enjoyed the movie. I didn’t love it, but I did like it. IMO this is a Netflix watch type of movie and not truly a movie you need to run to the theater on opening day to view.
