A few good laughs here and there, but also several scenes where I cringed from secondhand embarrassment. Overall too cheesy and some details of the storyline were off-putting.

The Space Between Us features everything that you'd expect from a teenage romance movie. It has a predictable plot, scientific anachronisms, and a generally plain script. Overall it is watchable yet there was nothing I particularly liked.

overall enjoyable movie. Driving a Volvo because it's now Chinese owned? A bit lame to have to fly in the shuttle to the stratosphere to get zero gravity - there're so many zero gravity facilities on Earth, especially in California. Would have guessed who the dad is but the age difference is making it less believable - no medical scan before liftoff to Mars is also not believable.
