The beginning of the movie was slow. I almost lost interest. However, as the plot was fledhedout it became very engaging. Also, if the movie was slightly longer it could have created more character development. Thus, improving the movie. It was action packed and suspenseful.

Very well made disaster movie, perfect for the times: things could always be worse. What I noticed from the opening scenes was how intimate it was. Of course, there were big set pieces with explosions and some violence, but for the most part, the focus was on the family at the center of the story. I bought them as a loving, caring unit, so I bought into the whole movie. I enjoyed it and frankly, it's Gerard Butler's best performance in years (and I'm a huge fan.)

It was really good it remind of 2012 and the best part is that he never gave up to save his family....

Another tale of a world disaster from the point of view of one family and their survival. It shows the good and the bad mankind during those times. It provided a small hope on how people can help one another which was refreshing. Well known actors in the lead roles which makes the events more believable. The move has action and drama which non-stop thru the movie.
