I found the romance to be endearing but the continued lack of communication between the two and their "breakups" ultimately left me feeling that their relationship was somewhat toxic.

LIKED THE actors a lot but the script was too formulaic and too many time sequence jumps. But I'm speaking from a writer's POV, so I think it will be enjoyed by the average viewer. I'd love to see these actors working together again in a film that allows them to flourish. :)

It's a beautifully produced film and Tessa Thompson is great. I felt though we didn't get to know Robert very well and towards the end some of the choices he made felt one dimensional. The end was overall rushed, needing to wrap up so many loose ends and bring the couple back together. I would have enjoyed learning more about Sylvie's experiences as a female black producer. The costumes, music, and cinematography were great.

nothing new, Story ran out of juice. Writing had gotten weaker towards the end. Acting faulted at the end. Direction also.
