I found it interesting how the film intermingled the manipulative nature of corporate greed with world wide food missmanagement. I enjoyed the shenanigans Mija and Okja caused in fighting to get back home. PS Wonder Woman's got nothing on Mija! She literally broke down barriers (i.e. the glass door) to get to her BFF OKJA!

The point of view was complex and interesting. It did seem anticlimactic, maybe because there was no true solution, or maybe because I am missed the artistry behind the decisions. The actors were good. The visuals were beautiful. It took me on an emotional kiddie ride(not intense enough to be a roller coaster). It was good, you could tell it was a Netflix movie. Everyone needs to watch this once.

Let me say that knowing as a direct to Netflix release it's ok. It will appeal to a few niche audiences it they can find it. We like foreign films so that is why we went. The story moves quite slow in most spots & while the cast is good I felt like the movie couldn't decide exactly how to deliver it's message.
