Great ensemble piece is told very well. Writing is sharp, funny, and rooted in emotion. I could definitely see this being nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars. Definitely the type of film they love to praise, because it lives and embodies the American dream. Oscar voters love that stuff. It also tells a story about underdogs overcoming obstacles and succeeding in a way that transcends racial and economic barriers, and in doing that, it becomes something that many audiences will be able to connect to. Amazon got very lucky securing this production. It’s going to be a bonafide hit for them.

Solid drama with folks in suits discussing business. Balanced the funny with the heavy really well. Jason Bateman’s monologue about his kids and the risk they’re taking with the deal was so sobering. Matt Damon’s speech in the final meeting was so affecting and is a beautiful tribute to Jordan. .

Great film! All star cast. Heartwarming, funny, and a must see! Can’t wait to watch it again!
