The Danish Girl is a gorgeous heartbreaking film that will certainly be nominated for a few oscars. The story is told with delicacy and nuance and shows the incredible courage it took to be authentic in a society that categorized the unfamiliar as insanity. The cinematography is exquisite and seductive. Eddie Redmayne is extraordinary. Believable as a man and as a woman and in between.

Very provocative for 1933 and even for today. Shows love is between two souls not genders. Not for mainstream audiences

What a great film! Beautiful!

Great acting. Loved that there was no "famous" actors in it. It was truly a wonderful love /friendship story. The transgender story was merely a backdrop although it provided great insights.
