This was a great film. The 3d was easy to follow. I was under the impression this was going to be the story of "Moby Dick", which would have been good. I was pleasantly surprised when it was a variation. I appreciate this opportunity and will be on the look out for more!

Enjoyed the cinematography, acting. Ron Howard's directing was superb. Film of the pods of whales - spectacular! Amazing acting, well developed characters.Loved the flashbacks to Melville & the old seamanEssex looked authentic to the minutest detail.Shots of the crew tangled in the rigging, hanging on for their lives during the squall were very realistic.Loved the whole experience!

Masterfully done! I truly enjoyed this moving story of the whaling ship the Essex and Moby Dick as told from the perspective of the young mate. The 3D graphics were amazing!

I read the book yeeeears ago in school and asked my granddaughter if she's read the book and she said no gram lol I wanted her to experience a movie of a book I much enjoyed as a child and the movie did not disappoint. Ty for letting us sit in on the screening. It was an amazing movie. Ty
