Definitely we need this to connect with the overall experience. While I really enjoyed this movie if this doesn't lead to a good team or versus movie then it will be a waste. You had a good start with Justice League and you need to build on bigger team movies to be like Marvel. Keep up this format and less on the repetitive backstory. Once is enough and then make it more so about the characters.
