Very strange film but great. We love those free advance screenings at the Varsity!

Quirky, funny, thought-provoking

Not my favorite Lanthimos movie; I found it characteristically cynical and sometimes sadistic, but couldn’t connect with its thesis like I normally can with Lanthimos. The movie seemed to be saying, “we are the virus” about humanity which is overly simplistic and cynical in my mind. However, it was stunningly shot and composed, it was funny, and the acting performances genuinely blew me away.

Surprising! I love the balance between these caricatural character, the reality anchored coming from our society and the absurdity of the situation and facts. Some question left without answer (d why did don suicide ? Did she intentionally kill him? why she didn't kill it first after? How the lost of air impact only human?) and I liked that !
