Denzel Washington's character appeared to have a version of Asberger's & stuck in the late 60's/70's. Most of the posters on the wall in his apt set would be over the heads of a lot of the viewing audience. Colin Farrell was excellent. But the lead character- I question the "romance" entirely. That this character would have gone for this woman or she for him- completely un believable. I spent a lot of the movie being completely confused by the lead character's dialog. Disappointing.
