I liked it because it brought back memories from the past. I also learned details I either never knew or had forgotten. For example, I did not know he played Margaret Court first.

The film is a smash for the recreational tennis player and entertaining for the non-tennis player. The film provided insight to one of the most memorable sporting events in history. Libbers vs. Lobbers! Spoiler Alert: The Libbers win!

Two things. It would have been nice to mention the disparity of women's vs. men's salaries in 1972 and then compare it with present at the end of the film since that was a prominent theme throughout the movie. Secondly, it would have been nice to mention the WTA is still in existence since it was mentioned in the film by Jack Kramer that it would never survive.

I thought the movie was going to be about tennis & all the hoopla leading up to the match. Perhaps the repartee between King & Riggs?Instead it focused primarily on Billie Jean Kings sexual orientation & love affair. Parts of the movie I found disgusting. She kept her sexual orientation to herself for many years so having this be the primary focus was off-putting. Not for general audiences.
