What an ‘extraordinary’ film. A lovely live story with all the visuals sounds and black folks I needed. This piece was well directed, written and cast. The lead actors were amazing, and oh the wardrobe. Bravo all around...this should have buzz and lots of publicity. People deserve to see this movie!!!!

Great nostalgic feel was spot on. Love it. The film did not drag. The music was carefully selected to fit the era. Tessa Thompson deserved a film like this to show off her talents. The Director kept it at a steady pace with a hopeful angle of how African Americans truly live their lives. Bravo.

This was a great movie. The story line was amazing and worth watching again.
