Why is this rated R? That's an insult to this warm, moving and well told story...and to every LGBTQ person who survived 1979 and lives now in a more enlightened era (even though there are still plenty of places where attitudes remain stuck in the past -- places like the movie rating service, apparently!).\r\rI'll look forward to watching this one many times.

Thank you for letting us in on the premiere! The movie was very well done - relatable and insightful. I loved seeing many actors that I recognize and love from other films. The vintage look of the movie was convincing and I appreciated the message of unity despite the odds.

It is so so well acted, completely heartbreaking in the best way possible, captivating....really captures the soul of this man and this family. it really broke my heart and put me back together at the same time. fantastic
