Woody Allen's latest offering is not a great film, but not a bad film either. Like it's protagonist, a philosophy professor played by Joachin Phoenix, it seems afflicted with ennui - the listlessness which arises from an existential lack of purpose. It takes the commission of the perfect murder to shake off those psychological/philosophical cobwebs.

Emma Stone was really good. The movie was kind of boring in the first half, then improved. Overall, not a must see movie.

I guess the title said it. Irrational. The plot was predictable, at least, it was in the 1st half before I left.

Great actors, and well acted, but not a fan of the story line.
