The film incorporates noir elements, including a decent crime plot, interesting characters, and stylish visuals. While not strictly a 70s film, it captures the spirit of that era's lesbian cinema with strong female characters, but not necessarily lesbian protagonists in a crime context.

Felt like a Coen film. Dark and funny. Overall, a good time

I thought it was really funny and a huge improvement on Drive Away Dolls. Reminded me a lot of earlier Coen Brothers films and I thought the setting of Bakersfield was well implemented.

It was a surprising and enjoyable film. Loved the acting, and the queerness. The violence was a bit much for me, and the fingering scene was too sudden/abrupt- needed more flirtation. Didn’t seem to fit the characters. Overall, really enjoyed it. Went specifically for Aubrey Plaza. Enjoyed the comedy.
