Didn't see the original so I can't make a comparison. Movie was hilarious not too scary good acting and storyline

It was amazing!, It wasn't really a scary movie but some parts were chilling and intense. I loved every bit of it. I would like to know what happened to the children that came down from floating. Are they alive?
