The movie was well paced, the cringe factor / raunch, wasn’t too over-the-top. Will Ferrell shows the caring side of single parenthood as well as the overbearing chaotic side, as he’s only interested in what’s best for his daughter while masking the hurt of loss. Some of the comedy felt off-timed, no fault of the supporting actors and actresses. Reese Witherspoon is similarly great as the overbearing estranged sister trying to reconcile her feelings about her relationships with her family. Altogether the comedic vibe was there but may have needed slight tweaks in editing or direction.

Funny movie, but I thought the musical only parts were quite loud and way too much. We appreciate the opportunity to attend the screening.

I really loved the characters, I thought they were very well written and fleshed out. However, the pacing was way too fast!! There was little to no variation in the pacing and it felt like the movie was trying to get to the end as soon as possible! I wish it would have taken it's time more and let us enjoy the movie and stay in the moments a little longer.
