It was a compelling coming of age story.

Unfortunately I must have missed some key things (grandkids were here). I think I'd give it another watch to try to catch the things I must have missed.

Pretty good coming of age story. If you are a fan of basketball, maybe a 4 of 5 stars. If not, maybe 3. Heavily basketball focused.

Classic coming of age story with new world twist. Some intense and LOL moments. Some awkward boyfriend-girlfriend moments and vocabulary that manage to somehow channel cringe-worthy and refreshingly original at same time. Overall, the main characters needed a little more screen time to develop cultural clashes that fuel most of drama. The ending could have used a few more dribbles to feel closed, but overall this movie was more "play ball" than foul ball.
