We enjoyed it. We liked the period nature of the production and the casting.

weak plot dialogue not the best ending scene poor Movie weak in many areas

Wonderful storyline and plot. For my family, many of the scenes were reminiscent of our own childhoods and families. It's also a great love story. But the movie is at least 30 minutes too long. The pacing is too slow and some scenes seem redundant and obvious. From the first time they met in the record store, we knew where this was going. One flaw in the movie is that an unmarried, pregnant Black woman in a middle-class family like Sylvie's was a huge embarrassment at the time of this movie. Sylvie's Mom would not have accepted it or Lacey's family.
