Wonderful acting, but it could have easily been made into just a t.v. movie

Meryl Streep couldn't have played a "bad" singer any better! It was a heartwarming story but slow at times

It was funny, and the acting was great, but the story was kind of dry. Not something I would have paid to see.

This movie was hugely funny, but somewhat of a disappointment. I'd really hoped that the chemistry between the actors would have been better, but it left me feeling a bit flat. Although the performances were very good individually, I never felt the 'family spirit' while watching this movie. It is a good movie if you like to laugh, but not so much if you're looking for stellar performances.
