It was touching but the ending could have been better

It was a very interesting depiction of someone who is battling hearing loss, especially for someone who's way of making a living is to hear. I've never seen anything like it before; definitely a unique movie. I just felt like it was more a downer/depressing movie that was tough to watch at points. I felt myself becoming anxious and feeling the loss when he was going through some of it.

I enjoyed the movie, but I am always open to seeing a movie that is out of the normal for me, which consists of fast-paced and/or suspense-filled movies.

Riz Ahmed's acting was superb in the Sound of Metal, and I loved the way audio was used throughout the movie. However, the story was a bit slow moving, and it felt too much on the surface. I wanted to hear more of the character's inner thoughts and struggle. Overall though, I thought it was an interesting movie, and I'd love to learn more about the deaf community.
