You have to see The Room before seeing this. Movie was good funny a lot of times but with a sentimental side to it.

This will inspire more people to go see The Room, so I'm glad Tommy will finally make some money from his movie!

I was pleasantly surprised by how good this film is. James Franco's performance as Tommy Wiseau is one of best of his career. The chemistry between him and Dave Franco was excellent. The cameos in the movie were a real treat. What I enjoyed the most was that the movie was funny, somewhat sad and yet inspiring overall. This is an absolute must see for anyone who is a fan of "The Room".

I read the book. The movie gets most of the plot points but really kind of misses the bittersweet parts of the book. James Franco did an excellent job as Tommy but I could have done without David Franco.
