A very touching and heartfelt film about a successful woman's upbringing in a homeless family with an alcoholic father played brilliantly by Woodie Harrison. This movie is really different than anything else out there and could only have been written if true, as it is. Truly original and moving.

Excellent casting of actors ....having read the book many years ago, it was easy to get lost in the film and not compare . This movie did to me what I go to see an excellent film- slowly hook me out of myself and then at the end slowly brought me back to myself. The film was extremely engaging and for a difficult subject of a dysfunctional family riddled with alcoholism and mental illness...Bravo

Heart wrenching film that follows the chaotic life of a family running from the harsh realities that life brings. It captivated the audience. The acting was incredible from every participant in this movie and was very well directed. A++
