I just watched the original film last night and I have to admit that this new entry improved upon it's predecessor in nearly every way imaginable if not every way. The characters were more well-developed and interesting, the film had a lot of witty humor to it which really helped to balance out the immense amount of tension that the film has as well. A must see! Glad I attended!

A solid sequel that elaborates on the mythology of the original film while staying true to what worked the first time. The pacing was better and the third act was stronger. Wingard and Barrett were a perfect choice for the film and it brought me joy to see Lionsgate making horror films again.
