Beautiful adaptation - I laughed and I cried.

It was a great movie that told the original story in a new, musical, uplifting way.

It was an excellent movie! Well done. I was worried about a remake of the movie but with the added singing and dancing it put a beautiful newness to the movie! Everything about the movie was outstanding! I will go to see it again!!

The Color Purple is one of my favorite movies of all times. I’ve seen it a number of times, I’ve lost count. I’ve read the book and seen the stage play. Although it wasn’t exactly as the original, I can appreciate the creativity and depth in which the way the story line went. It was absolutely AMAZING, I WILL see it again! The soundtrack was phenomenal and will have you in your feelings. Just amazing! LOVE LOVE LOVE.
