Great remake of a classic movie. This time around, with the cinematic advances it became more personal, focusing on the characters up close. The subtle update in the dialogue enhanced the storyline. It is well worth seeing whether or not you've seen the original.

I really enjoyed the story. Was really invested in the characters and what made them tick. Wasn't expecting the last half of the movie but oh boy. Highly Recommend this movie.

West Side Story surpassed my expectations. It had that extra amount of detail into the lives of the characters and also rearranged the music to the story a bit, making it flow nicely. It was beautifully done without moving away from the original. It was as good if not better than the first.

This movie was a powerful emotional rollercoaster! I didn't have any expectations since I surprisingly didn't know a lot about West Side Story, but genuinely enjoyed the experience. This Romeo & Juliet-inspired film had me falling in love, feeling true anger, becoming blissfully happy, and incredibly sad to the wonderful soundtrack. There is so much talent and the attention to every detail shows!
