Only because the download never worked. Finally, a quarter into the film, it crashed my computer. What I did hear and see did not seem riveting enough to keep my attention. The premise was interesting but when a filmmaker tries to get all the facts/background into the film, it loses the artistic tension to make a film interesting.

Liked characters & subject matter, but a little slow.

I had a hard time believing this film .... Even with the 1969-1973 time setting. I found the gas station scene cruel. While 18 year old Beth felt empowered and enlightened, her behavior towards the young mechanic seemed cruel. (And then would you leave your car to be repaired by someone you just insulted?) The reading of the last Will and testament was a stretch. I was also not sure if Frank was sober after his "swim" and returning to his family home. And finally, I could not tell if Beth decides to stay in her small town after the funeral. Overall I sadly feel that it missed its mark.

It was beautifully filmed and both Paul Bettany and Sophia Lillis did a good job but it felt like a tv movie that was very stereotyped and seemed forced.
