Good acting and enjoyable interaction with characters but theme and plot line didn’t seem to hold my attention as much as I would have liked. The main girl actress did a great job.

I MIGHT recommend this movie, but not enthusiastically. The actors did the best they could with a screenplay that was pretty thin. The characters didn't feel fully formed. Is one of the producers related to the actor who played "Wally"? (Producer, or maybe a writer - I don't remember exactly.) That character was borderline caricature - again, because of the writing, not the actor.

A sad film that seemed headed towards a doomed conclusion only to be wrapped up in an unexpected ending of acceptance that families can be loving even when they're dysfunctional.

An okay movie.
